Tomorrow brings yet another exciting event to Aruba – the Annual International Regatta. People like to say (including the organizers) that it’s three days of parties and two days of races! This is your chance to see all kinds of sailing vessel races – yachts, beach cats, sunfishes, optimists, windsurfers, and kite surfers beginning on Friday August 19 and ending on Sunday August 21. Home base for these events is Surfside Beach, near the airport.
Aruba’s perfect weather and constant trade winds make it the perfect place for sailors to do their thing, and spectators enjoy maximum visibility as well. And then of course there is basically a constant party going on at surfside beach for all three days, with food, drinks, DJs and more. The Regatta has Silver status with Sailors for the Sea, an organization that encourages regattas to be as sustainable as possible. If you’re planning to attend, please help keep the beaches and waters clean!

09:00 am – 5:00 pm: Sailing races
10:00 am – 5:00 pm: microboat races (Wilhelmina Park)
12:00 noon: Lunch
2:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Self-built boat demonstration and rally
4:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Stand Up Paddle Board and Outrigger Canoe
5:00 pm: Beach Party @ Surfside Beach
